Introduction: Zachary Miller

We are pleased to welcome Zachary Miller, a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation to the Advancing Pathways team as a Cultural Heritage and Indigenous Knowledges Fellow. Zachary has previously served as an Andrew Mellon Curatorial Fellow at the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has also guest-curated exhibitions at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art at Colorado State University. Zachary’s diverse interests in visual culture informs his participation in local and international art communities. His research engages with contemporary curatorial practice and community-based projects through the lens of an emerging contemporary Indigenous visual artist. Zachary received his BFA in painting and printmaking from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and his MFA in printmaking from Colorado State University.
